Description

Pterocarya belongs to the Juglandaceae family and can reach heights of 15 to 20 metres. The tree's distinctive foliage is made up of large, dark green leaves that turn yellow in autumn, adding a spectacular splash of colour to the landscape. As well as its ornamental beauty, the Caucasian Pterocarya is valued for its durable, hard-wearing wood, which is used for furniture and tools. This tree is also appreciated for its ability to tolerate damp soil.
